Al & the Black Cats __________________________________ _ (german version)

Some call them the new Stray Cats, but there’s no need to compare these guys !
Al Krivoy & seine Black Cats greifen an…
Ihre Mission: Givin´um something to Rock´n´Roll about!!!

CD & Band–Infos:

If you would have told Al Krivoy in 1981 that 25 years later he would be playing rock and roll with a bunch of punks from a little town called Lowell, he probably would have laughed in your face and asked what kind of drugs you were on.

And Al Krivoy isn't that what you may call a “Greenhorn in Music” :
During his over 40-year careers as a musican for Blues, Country, Rockabilly & RnR, he played several years bass for Chuck Berry, wrote songs and played with Thom Ellis, Chuck Bob Carnes, Ronnie Fray, have just been nominated for “The Rockabilly Hall Of Fame”, as well as “The Fabulous Rockabillys”. And he just received word from the nominators, that Al & The BlackCats, has just been also inducted into the "newcomers" Rockabilly Hall Of Fame.

After countless requests for a European tour, for his first band “The fabulous Rockabillys”, Al knew he had to put something together. And with all of his former band mates either dead or in prison, the search began for a back up band. Enter Hugh Skiffington, Tony Cozzaglio, and Eric Soules.......... Having already a few years in the local punk and rockabilly scene, the boys jumped at the chance to show Al what they had, after hearing of his search though a mutual friend named John B. After a few rehearsals, Al saw that he had something more than just a "back-up" band. From then on, Al made it his mission to bring the band to the masses with their new breed of rock and roll. So the journey began. After two albums, countless shows all over Europe , and a couple of smelly van tours later, the band has won over tens of thousands of fans on their quest to rock the world, one city at a time.

Two weeks ago they were “banned from Britain ” as http://www.planetjive.co.uk/ reported, due to the fact that they “ has been hit by immigration problems after booked by the Nifty 50s R'n'R Club for some shows.” Actually they are on a 97 days Tour in Europe, including Billy bob's Saloon in Disneyland Paris and also with other gigs in the UK . ( Manchester , Brighton & London in 2008.)
2009 they are again entering Europe for the “Bad Boys for life Tour” together with the Bones.

Now it's tijme for the third CD of Al & the Black Cats, brought to you by Sunny Bastards! “Givin um something to RnR about” brings you 14 wild & punkish Rockabilly-Songs full of energy and combined with different wild styles from country, some blues and of course kickin'ass Rock`n'Roll!!!

Europas best Webside for Billy´Music, „Rockabillyeurope.com“, wrote about theBlack Cats : "they do remind me of a young version of the Stray Cats, when they took the historical step to leave the States and went to London to live there. Also this CD does bear some resemblance to older Stray Cats / Tom Cats material. So if you're a fan of neo-rockabilly, this is definatly a CD for you."
